Tecno Phantom Ultimate 2 tri fold concept phone Unveiled in IFA 2024

Huawei will launch the world’s first tri-foldable smartphone in the Chinese market in September. Tecno has introduced its own powerful tri-fold concept phone Tecno Phantom Ultimate 2 at the IFA technology conference in Berlin. The brand is preparing to introduce Phantom V Fold 2 and V Flip 2 foldable phones. Let us know in detail about Tecno Phantom Ultimate 2.

Tecno Phantom Ultimate 2 Design, Features

Let us tell you that Tecno had displayed the first generation Tecno Phantom Ultimate concept smartphone with a rollable screen at the IFA 2024 tech exhibition last year. Its display can change from 6.55 inches to 7.11 inches in just 1.3 seconds. The brand is now back with a new concept Phantom Ultimate 2, which sports a tri-foldable design.

The Phantom Ultimate 2 stands out with its slim profile, measuring just 11mm when folded, making it slimmer than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which is 12.1mm thick. It features a new hinge design and an ultra-thin battery cover, which is just 0.25 mm thick, made from super-compressed Titan Advanced Fiber material.

The phone has a 6.48-inch display when folded, but this turns into a larger 10-inch 3K OLED panel with a 4:3 aspect ratio. The phone supports multiple folding modes, including a laptop-like configuration, media viewing mode, and tent mode, which is best for dual-screen tasks like real-time translation. Testing has been done for durability which can withstand up to 3 lakh folds.

Tecno has customized the Phantom Ultimate 2’s software to enhance multitasking across three vertical windows and provide adaptable wallpapers for multiple folding cases. Finally, for photography, the phone is equipped with a triple camera unit at the rear. As can be seen in the last photo, the tri-foldable phone gives a complete look when its screen is fully expanded. A concept smartphone is an experimental device that showcases advanced design or technology that may not be available in current products. These phones are often used to show what the future holds, but they are usually not meant for commercial release, making it unlikely that they will be available for purchase.
